Well, it was similer for both sides. We had to move without the ballon a lot and had to try to fill up open spaces all the time, they kept attacking. When the game was over, two boys from Spain were so exhaussed. One of them was Busquets, he was rolling on the pitch. After all, it is difficult to keep attacking all the time. I know it from Arsenal. It is sometimes more difficult to attack than to defend.

Spanish were attacking but they didn’t  seem that they were losing their patience.
They are really cool in this. They haven’t panic because they were one goal behind. They still played  the same game and then in the final they break the opponent's defense. We believed that they won’t break us but they did.

I do not know, i looked at my watch for the first time in the second half around the sixtieth minute. At that moment I knew that the longer they can not score, the more they will open up the game and we have a space for a breakaway. Too bad that we could not hold that lead a little longer.

Are you sorry that the chance to beat the Word Champions may never happen again?
Definitely. We had the chance! On the other hand, we cannot say anything against our players. All the guys were very brave. But Spanish are simply excellent.

Next time you will be in a similar role. You will be attacking against Liechtenstein. Won’t you be tired on Tuesday?
I wouldn’t  say so, but we will see how it goes. I would say that there is a  time to recover.

Let’s return to the match against Spanish. You helped Plasil to score the first goal. It was not easy, right?
It is very important to overcome the first wave in such moments which they used in pressing. Then the match is open. We succeeded  in that moment, i passed the ball to Jarda and he scored the goal. But I admit that we should do more in this game.

You used in defend the so-called „deep block“. It is currently the only way to succeed against the world champions?
I can hardly estimate it because no one knows how it would looked when we would played openly. Apart from the very beginning when they kept moving around a lot, we handled it quite well. We gave them hard time.

Why didn’t  it bring success in the end?
When you play a „deep block“ you must keep the balloons  a little more up front. For us midfielders it is difficult to fill in Milan Baros, when we must run after him from a depth of eighty meters. When he doesn’t wait with the ball, it’s difficult for us. But we can not blame him. He fought valiantly.
